詩127:1 〔所羅門上行之詩。〕若不是耶和華建造房屋、建造的人就枉然勞力．若不是耶和華看守城池、看守的人就枉然儆醒。
  Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
 詩127:2 你們清晨早起、夜晚安歇、喫勞碌得來的飯、本是枉然．惟有耶和華所親愛的、必叫他安然睡覺。
  It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
 詩127:3 兒女是耶和華所賜的產業．所懷的胎、是他所給的賞賜。
  Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
 詩127:4 少年時所生的兒女、好像勇士手中的箭。
  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
 詩127:5 箭袋充滿的人、便為有福．他們在城門口、和仇敵說話的時候、必不至於羞愧。
  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
